Welcome
Kawida Lodge is proud to share with your unit the second version of its Where to Go Scouting Guide, a tool to help Scouts and Scouters find great places to hike, camp, and more. In addition to a whole new look, this revised guide is more up-to-date than ever. Each entry has been carefully examined and updated to provide the latest information. Locations are categorized by their major features (campsites, hiking trails, high adventure), and assigned location characteristics based on special offerings like boating or fishing.
This guide is far from just a list of campgrounds and trails. To better help you, we’ve included information about the McKee Scout Reservation (our local council’s camp) and several high adventure bases around the nation. We think you’ll like some of the new features we’ve added, including an at-a-glance map of locations in this guide. If you have a smartphone, you can even use that to access the guide due to our mobile-friendly theme.
We hope you enjoy the new Where to Go Scouting Guide and find it useful. If you have any comments or suggestions, please feel free to let us know!
Yours in Scouting,
Nathan Vick, 2015 Lodge Chief
